Location. The Apsis Eada Hotel is located in the village of Collbato, Spain, six kilometres from Montserrat National Park, and 40 kilometres from Barcelona centre. Hotel Features. The Apsis Eada is a modern two storey hotel with a white and terracotta facade. The hotel has a large open air swimming pool with views of the mountain of Montserrat. Complimentary newspapers are offered in the lobby where there is also a 24 hour reception with multilingual staff who can assist with local sightseeing advice. Wireless Internet access is available throughout and there is a safety deposit box and library. Complimentary private parking is offered to guests.
The restaurant at Apsis Eada serves Catalan and Spanish dishes, and is open for lunch and dinner. The hotel bar has cafeteria service in the morning, including a complimentary buffet breakfast.

Expert Tip. The Santa Maria de Montserrat Benedictine Monastery on the mountain of Montserrat houses a black Madonna and child. According to legend, the statue was carved in Jerusalem during the early days of the Christian church.

Driving Directions
From Barcelona Airport (BCN): Distance to Apsis Eada is 41 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.
Getting there. There is a train station at the airport terminals from where the RENFE train runs to the centre of Barcelona every half an hour. The fare is 3 EUR for a single ticket. Alternatively, there is an Aerobus service operating to Placa de Catalunya every 12 minutes, costing 6.50 EUR for a return ticket, and there is a taxi rank in front of the terminal buildings; a fare to the city centre is approximately 25 EUR. From Barcelona, buses run to Collbato. Alight at the Collbato stop on the A2 side road, and then call the hotel for a taxi. A taxi direct from airport to hotel will cost approximately 60 EUR. Getting around. Collbato is easily explored on foot or bicycle. Trains run through the surrounding Catalonian countryside.
Driving directions. From Barcelona airport, follow signs for Barcelona/Tarragona and join the C 32. Take Exit 16A to merge onto the A2 for Tarragona/Lleida and continue north on this road. Take Exit 576A towards Collbato and follow signs to Eada.
