Refurbished in 2005, Hesperia Presidente Hotel is a white building curving round a street corner, with two blocks rising behind.
The hotel's informal restaurant, Florencia, has dark wood tables, mirrors and a decorative fireplace. It offers a buffet breakfast (surcharge), and a Mediterranean lunch and dinner menu with rice, pasta and fish specialities. The lounge bar serves drinks amid beige sofas, chocolate coloured velvet chairs, ancient Greek style ornaments, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the busy street.

From Barcelona Airport (BCN): Distance to Hesperia Presidente Hotel is 13 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. There is a train station a short walk away from the airport terminals. The RENFE train runs between the airport and Barcelona's centre every half an hour. The fare is 3 EUR for a single ticket. There is an Aerobus service operating to Plata de Catalunya every 12 minutes, costing 6.50 EUR for a return ticket. There are taxi ranks in front of the terminal buildings, and the fare to the city centre is approximately 25 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Hesperia Presidente Hotel is on Avinguda Diagonal. Hospital Clinic is the nearest metro station. The integrated metro and bus system in Barcelona is a cheap, efficient way to explore the city. Validate tickets in machines prior to boarding.
Driving directions. From Barcelona Airport: Head onto the C 32 motorway towards Barcelona. Enter the city on Gran Via, then turn onto Casanova until you reach Avenida Diagonal. The hotel is one block to the right, at number 570.
