Location. The historical Gran Hotel La Florida is located on Mount Tibidabo in Barcelona, Spain. The hotel is within seven kilometres of the city centre. Barcelona Airport (BCN) is 20 kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. Built in 1925, the Gran Hotel La Florida is painted white and affords spectacular views of Barcelona, the Pyrenees, and the Mediterranean Sea. The interior combines tiled and wooden floors, elaborate Art Nouveau style railings and modern metal sculpture. The hotel operates a complimentary shuttle to and from Barcelona.
L'Orangerie is Gran Hotel La Florida's award winning gastronomic restaurant with its own terrace and well stocked wine cellar. The menu features grilled monkfish tail and lamb cooked in clay. From Barcelona Airport (BCN): Distance to Gran Hotel La Florida is 20 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. There is a train station a short walk away from the airport terminals. The RENFE train runs between the airport and Barcelona's centre every half an hour. The fare is 3 EUR for a single ticket. There is an Aerobus service operating to Plata de Catalunya every 12 minutes, costing 6.50 EUR for a return ticket. There are taxi ranks in front of the terminal buildings, and the fare to the city centre is approximately 25 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
